Claret is an English word meaning wine from Bordeaux. We use it to signify a blend of the Bordeaux varieties so as not to be limited by the 75% varietal labeling regulation. This vintage is composed of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec, and 4% Syrah.
